TRAGEDY AS WOMAN DIES DURING TRIP TO THE GREAT BARRIER REEF

A Dutch tourist has died after collapsing while snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.
The 51-year-old woman had just returned to the boat from the water at Norman Reef on Wednesday when she lost consciousness.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene on a Rescue 510 helicopter attempted to revive her but she died at the scene.
Queensland Police are currently investigating whether the woman suffered a medical episode.
The reef is located about 60km north-east of Cairns.
In November, Adrian Meyer from Angaston in South Australia died after he and a group of snorkellers were swept away by a strong current while on the reef.
The 71-year old was with his son, Nicholas Meyer, and daughter Angela Henson about 60km off the coast northeast of Cairns when disaster struck.
Mr Meyer had travelled to Cairns to see the World Heritage Area as part of a belated 70th birthday present.
