HIKER DIES AFTER FALLING OFF A CLIFF IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS

A man has died after falling from a cliff while hiking with friends.
The man, who is yet to be identified, fell from a cliff in NSW's Blue Mountains National Park near Mount Piddington Road at about 12.10pm on Friday.
It's understood the group were making their way down the cliff when the man lost his footing and fell, 7News reports.
Police and paramedics attended but the man died at the scene.
'Officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command attended along with Police Rescue and NSW Ambulance paramedics,' NSW Police said in a statement.
'The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.'
